A Little About Our Candles

SOY CANDLES

Why is soy wax better?

  • Soy wax burns slower than paraffin wax, meaning you'll get a candle that lasts longer. And while all candles emit some black soot while burning, soy wax burns cleaner and results in less soot than paraffin.
  • They are easy to clean up if spilled with hot and soapy water or simply heating surface with blow dryer and low heat.

  • Soy candles are slow burning, they gradually release their fragrances.

  • Soy wax lends itself to the support of farmers and sustainable agriculture. Soy is a plant, not a man made substance.

WAX MELTS

  • Wax melts have a longer and more efficient burn time than a candle.

  • They absorb heat slowly, releasing aromas without burning off fragrance.

  • Wax melts are cheaper.

  • Wax melts are flame free and safer. Most wax melting apparatus are heated by a small light bulb

  • No chemicals are released when burning.

  • Wax melts generate no soot (think of the black residue left after a fire).

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?

WHAT’S COOL ABOUT COTTON WICKS?

Cotton wicks are high quality, have a cotton wrapped paper core, and provide a clean, easy, and traditional type of burn. Cotton wicks provide a low maintenance way to enjoy your favorite candle fragrance and create the perfect ambiance for your favorite spaces.

SHOULD I TRIM THE WICK AFTER BURNING?

The simple answer is yes. After the candle has cooled down of course, please trim your wick to about a  ¼”. Cotton Wicks burn best with frequent attention to keeping your wick to the right length. Burn times will be increased with proper care.

WHEN SHOULD I DISCARD MY CANDLE?

Never...But, when there is approximately 1/4” of wax left on the bottom of your candle you should discontinue use and repurpose the container. We would love to know what you do with your repurposed jars - tag us on social media - @adacandleco.

SAFETY TIPS

  • Please do not leave candle burning unattended.

  • Keep candles out of the reach of small children and pets.

  • Always burn on a heat resistant surface.

  • Do not touch or move candle with visible (liquid) hot wax.

  • Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, and ceiling fans to minimize smoking or a wick blowing out causing the candle to burn unevenly.

  • Make sure candle is completely extinguished and the wick no longer glows before leaving the room.
